Prime Minister Imran Khan warned citizens that he will take stern action against those who try to harm non-Muslims or their places of worship in Pakistan.

Imran’s warning came in the wake of riots in Delhi between the anti and pro-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), which led to the killing of 35 people and injured more than 200 while a mosque was set on fire.

Fearing backlash in Pakistan after mosque desecration in Delhi, Imran tweeted: “I want to warn our people that anyone in Pakistan targeting our nonMuslim citizens or their places of worship will be dealt with strictly. Our minorities are equal citizens of this country.” Imran’s office tweeted in English, Hindi and Urdu.
