Etihad to resume flights to Athens
From June 24, Etihad Airways will resume flights from Abu Dhabi to Athens, Greece. The twice-weekly schedule will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to an airline statement released yesterday. The flights will connect passengers travelling to and from Athens with key destinations in Asia and Australia via Abu Dhabi.
“The addition of Athens increases the total number of international flights being flown by Etihad throughout June to 25 destinations, with plans to significantly increase the number of scheduled flights around the world, as international travel restrictions are lifted,” Etihad said.
Etihad, from June 10, added 20 more cities in Europe, Asia and Australia via Abu Dhabi. Easy transfer connections via Abu Dhabi will now be available from Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo to major cities across Europe including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Heathrow, Madrid, Milan, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Zurich.
Flights can be booked online (www.etihad.com), through the mobile app or any authorised local travel agency. Passengers can also call Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 600 555 666.
Etihad advised travellers to wear face mask throughout their journey as a precautionary measure. The airline has also implemented an extensive sanitisation and customer safety programme against Covid-19.
