UAE wins Under-23 Gulf Cup Championship

2010 -The UAE football team won the Under-23 Gulf Cup football tournament beating Kuwait 1-0 in the final held in Doha. Ahmad Khalil, a former AFC Junior Player of the Year and the tournament’s top scorer with five goals, scored the UAE’s winning goal with a beautiful diving header in the 32nd minute following a cross from the right flank by Abdul Aziz Haikal, the fullback.
