An Emiri envoy carried a message addressed to King Salman Bin Abzul Aziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman from the Kuwaiti Emir Shaikh Nawaf Al AhmadAl Jaber Al Sabah and Crown Prince Shaikh Mesha’al Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

According to a source that spoke to Al Qabas, the reunification of the Gulf countries was mentioned in the letter, which pointed out that a solution is needed to end the dispute and to preserve the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council ( GCC).

The source reaffirmed Kuwait’s ongoing effort to resolve the Gulf crisis, to ensure security and stability in the region and promote all forms of growth.

In addition, the letter discussed a variety of issues most notably, the security situation of the region, the economic challenges due to Covid- 19 and bilateral relations between both countries.

The letter is part of a series of ongoing communication between Kuwait’s new leadership and its Saudi counterpart.

Lastweek, the SaudiMinister of State Turki Bin Mohammad Bin Fahd arrived in Kuwait to deliver two letters: one from King Salman to Shaikh Nawaf and one from Mohammad Bin Salman to Shaikh Mesha’al. On September 30, King Salman sent a telegram to Shaikh Nawaf, congratulating him on becoming the new Emir and added, “the Kingdom and Kuwait, throughout history, have been tied together through solid bonds made up of significant bilateral relations and a common destiny.” Shortly after being appointed crown prince, Shaikh Mesha’al received a call from Mohammad Bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, to congratulate him.
