Those who tried to whip out Nawaz Sharif have themselves been whipped out.”

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb yesterday ruled out negotiations with Imran Khan, stating talks could not be held with those who attacked the state, rather were awarded punishment.

In a statement issued here, the minister said Imran Khan was not appealing for negotiations, he was, in fact, seeking an “NRO”.

Taking a jibe at Imran, she said the foreign agent who committed robbery of Rs60 billion was to be brought to justice.

She ruled out talks with those who attacked sensitive installations and buildings such as General Headquarters which were symbols of national pride, those who desecrated the memorials of martyrs and Ghazis, who attacked ambulances, hospitals and schools and were involved in vandalism.

She said talks cannot be held with those who poisoned the minds of the youth, adding negotiations could not be held with the leaders of the criminals and terrorists.

She said while his party crumbled like a castle of sand, Imran was pleading for talks, recalling how electables were brought in planes to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that parties not formed on any political ideology were disintegrated like the PTI. The entire leadership of the PML-N including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz, Maryam Nawaz spent hundreds of days in jails and detention centres, she said adding they faced false cases but stood firm and finally emerged victorious. She said Imran Khan refused to negotiate with his political opponents on the economy, Kashmir and security issues. Imran was not ready to sit with the opposition parties on critical issues like corona pandemic and the FATF issue, she said.

Imran’s game over: Maryam Nawaz

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz told a large number of vibrant party supporters “Your game is over, Imran Khan.”

The claim was not made for the first time by Maryam and her party leaders, but this time around, keeping in view the mass exodus (voluntary or otherwise) by the senior PTI leadership in the aftermath of May 9 riots, odds were truly stacked against Imran as he seems to be fighting a losing battle, The Express Tribune reported.

Addressing a youth convention, Maryam said: “This change (alluding to the PTI mantra of Tabdeli), will drown in the same open sewer it came out of.”

Accusing Khan of the being the mastermind of the May 9 riots, Maryam said that people would not spare Imran and judges who supported him in his illegal escapades, referring to Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandial, The Express Tribune reported.

Maryam chided the PTI workers and leaders for being wimps, saying said that Imran and his party could not stand hardships even for a brief while. “Those who tried to whip out Nawaz Sharif have themselves been whipped out,” the PML-N Senior VicePresident said.

Maryam said no enemy could dare commit the kind of acts Imran and his people committed.

“Why did the protesters in Lahore not turn towards the Mall of Lahore, which is right across of corps commander’s residence? Why did they go straight for cantonment in Quetta, towards GHQ instead of Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi and towards FC in Peshawar?

“Why did they burn a plane, a symbol of our valour and bravery in Mianwali? These attacks were on Pakistan Army,” reported.
