Dubai schools among toppers of India’s ICSE, ISC exams worldwide
Students also score high batch average marks, more than all-India averages
Hundreds of students scored 100 per cent pass percentage, bringing laurels to three Dubai schools as best performing schools abroad in India’s ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and ISC (Indian School Certificate) exams.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in New Delhi released the results of the Class X (ICSE) and Class XII (ISC) Year 2024 Examinations yesterday. The best performing ICSE schools abroad are from Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai while those in ISC schools abroad are from Singapore and Dubai with a 100 per cent pass percentage, the Council said.
Girls bag top positions
Girls outshone boys in grabbing the top three positions in GEMS Modern Academy, JSS International School and Ambassador School in Dubai. Diya Maria Thomas of GEMS Modern Academy topped the ISC Class XII, with a score of 99.25 per cent, while Spriha Pandey, Khyati Agarwal and Saira Miriam Thomas shared the first place with 99.2 per cent score in ICSE Class X.
In JSS International School, Aishwarya Sinha topped the ICSE exam with a 99 per cent score and Suhani Sharma, the ISC topper, scored 97 per cent marks.
In Ambassador School, grade 12 school topper, Anushka Vastawat scored 96.75 per cent and Anjali Sharat scored 98.6 per cent to be the topper for grade 10.
The Dubai students also scored high batch average marks, significantly higher than the all-India averages.

Dubai schools recorded a 100 per cent pass percentage and emerged as best performing schools abroad in India’s ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) exams, it was announced yesterday.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in New Delhi released the ICSE and ISC results yesterday. The best performing ICSE schools abroad are from Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai , while the best performing ISC schools abroad are from Singapore and Dubai, it said.
The ICSE exam was held between February 21 and March 28 and the ISC exam between February 12 and April 4.
GEMS MODERN ACADEMY
In GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai, Diya Maria Thomas topped the ISC exam with a score of 99.25 per cent, followed by Desiree Moraes and Praneshwaran Eshwaran (98.5 per cent), Anamika Jaykumar (98.25 per cent) and Prithvi Bharadwaj (98 per cent).
In the ICSE exam, Spriha Pandey, Khyati Agarwal and Saira Miriam Thomas shared first place with 99.2 per cent. They were followed by Vedant Agarwal (99 per cent) and Shaurya Sahu (98.6 per cent).

Nargish Khambatta, Principal, GEMS Modern Academy and Senior Vice President Education at GEMS Education, said that the school’s largest cohort of 285 ICSE students have done it proud as well, with a batch average of 88.6 per cent.

JSS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
In JSS International School, Dubai, of the 104 students who appeared for the ICSE exam, 56 scored above 90 per cent and of the 74 students who appeared for the ISC exam, 37 secured above 90 per cent. A celebratory moment was the brilliant performance of students with varied needs, the school stated.

Aishwarya Sinha, who topped the ICSE exam with 99 per cent, said: “I am delighted that my consistent efforts paid off. I never lost sight of my goal and stayed focused on achieving the best in every test. To refresh myself, I would take to my passion — coding. I am grateful to God, my parents, and my teachers for supporting me throughout this memorable journey.”
Suhani Sharma, the ISC topper with 97 per cent, said: “My aim this year was solely to see myself grow in areas I felt were hindering me from realising my potential. It was a journey I learned a lot from, by putting in consistent effort, and training myself to keep a positive attitude by detaching myself from the results, which really helped me grow in a holistic manner.”

Ambassador School, Dubai said it was celebrating the success of 69 ICSE students and 40 ISC students who achieved a 100 per cent pass rate. “A truly remarkable feat is 50 per cent of students scored more than 90 per cent in ISC , while 32 per cent of ICSE students achieved the feat,” the school said.
ISC school topper, Anushka Vastawat, scored 96.75 per cent, followed by Aashvi Shah and Parv Wadhwa (96 per cent). The ICSE school topper, Anjali Sharat, scored 98.6 per cent, followed closely by Aditi Nair with 97.8 per cent. Haniya Burmawala, Raghav Angra and Sai Shrenik Varnajyosula all scored 97.4 per cent.
