Avarice devastates. And sexual avarice devastates faster. Weinstein, like some of his American chums, proved that once again. It is almost certain that his insatiable appetite for s.., made indefensibly disgusting by the application of appalling doses of coercion, will now leave him starving for peace forever.

Film producer Weinstein put to foul use his strong standing in Hollywood and for years harvested lust, leaving morality out in the cold. He was just interested in his own twisted warmth.

We are now being told by big-time stars that he used to prowl through the lairs of Hollywood high society as some helpless acting hopefuls would crouch and some would give in thinking they could manage with a small price for success. But they soon realised it wasn’t a small price because their honour was priceless.

While Weinstein — totally blinded by enviable success and limitless authority — was busy tending his animal-instinct farm, the maniac’s adventures were being recorded, not on cameras, but victims’ minds. And minds, unlike cameras, can’t be destroyed.

The recordings, emerging now almost on a daily basis, indicate that his ways were nothing short of a nightmare. Therefore, the action now being taken against him is apt.

In a move virtually unprecedented, Weinstein’s membership of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was revoked by its board.

Weinstein, an Oscar winner as a producer of the 1998 Best Picture “Shakespeare in Love,” was ousted from The Weinstein Co., the movie and TV production company he co-founded with his brother Bob and which now is struggling to survive the scandal. Bob called for his “sick and depraved” brother to be kicked out of the academy.

Weinstein’s membership of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts was also revoked.

British actress Lysette Anthony told the police that Weinstein raped her in London in the 1980s.

She told the Sunday Times newspaper that he raped her in the late 1980s after showing up at her London home.

Some on-the-record reports, that detailed claims of sexual abuse, included testimonies from Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie.

Paltrow described his attempt to lure her, then 22, into giving him a massage in a hotel room. The incident prompted her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt to angrily confront Weinstein at a film premiere.

A New Yorker article claimed that thirteen women have said he sexually harassed or assaulted them between 1990 and 2015. The incidents described range from unwanted groping to forced s..

In the report, Rosanna Arquette is among those who claim Weinstein sexually harassed her. Arquette described a 1990s incident at a Beverly Hills hotel in which he tried to make her give him a massage and then attempted to lead her hand to his p…. Afterward, the actress told the magazine, “He made things very difficult for me for years.”

Sixty-five-year old Weinstein’s representative, Sallie Hofmeister, responding to one of the charges, said that “any allegations of non-consensual s.. are unequivocally denied by Mr Weinstein.”

Well, so sacred is the thread of amorous interaction that the heavens chose to weave the entire fabric of humanity with it. Therefore, anyone who abuses that sanctity was expected to pay for it and hugely at that. And Weinstein is no different. The world is gunning for him because filth has only one answer: cleansing.
