The energy in truth is inexhaustible. Therefore, the Palestinian man, the woman and the teen can only be oppressed but never defeated because when they say that Jerusalem is theirs, they are speaking nothing but the truth. When they say that the Israeli setup is barbaric they are speaking nothing but the truth. When they say that a Super power is backing a horrible regime they are speaking nothing but the truth. When they say that some influential Muslim leaders are not doing enough they are speaking nothing but the truth.

Hence, a hundred politicians put together can’t defeat the Palestinian man by simply recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

They will never be able to win also because among the Palestinians we have mothers, who are willing to sacrifice the lives of their children to take on the enemy full blast. Not many years ago a mother, standing on top of the cliff of anguish, cried out, “I wish God had given me more children…i would have let them die for Palestine, for our people, for our homeland.” In front of her was lying the shrouded body of her son killed by the Israelis.

Similar resilient declarations have been heard from fathers too and for almost seventy years.

The recognition, made public on December 6, will further strengthen the truthful Palestinian because he has nothing to lose, but his oppressor.

The unfortunate thing is that it will increase extremism among the young as has been rightly argued by the UAE. Jerusalem is the first Qibla and sacred to all Muslims.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, voiced the UAE’S concern over the negative effects of the US President’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on the stability of the region and the prospects for the peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

“The US move could throw a lifeline to terrorist and armed groups, which have begun to lose ground in the region,” Sheikh Mohamed said during a meeting with a delegation from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) at the Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohamed presented an overview about the UAE foreign policy and its vision for the current and evolving developments and events in the region.

Regional and international repercussions of the unilateral move, which runs counter to international legitimacy resolutions, figured high on discussions between the two parties.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his hope that the US Administration would reconsider its move and work basically in an effective and neutral manner.

Well, truth can never certify what the American politician has done. He, however, will certainly gain at home because right-wingers are children of unalloyed prejudice.

There are three reasons for truth not supporting the US action. First, Jerusalem was annexed by Israeli marauders, masquerading as rightful conquerors. Secondly, Muslims ruled the city for almost 13 centuries with some short interruptions. Lastly, the annexation has been widely condemned by world powers as illegal. Therefore, the American leader, who is never tired of calling himself the harbinger of universal democracy, should have a serious rethink and allow the truth to prevail. And that’s Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians. feedback: Shaadaab@gulftoday.ae follow on : @Shaadaabsbakht
