Since 1996 Sawsan Chammas Haber has made her mark on the interior design world, first as the main designer at one of the most prestigious firms in Beirut, then through her company Dipiugi. And now she has just opened her new 186-square metre showroom, Estetik, in d3. “The shop reflects Dubai itself, in that is traditional and modern at the same time. The inspiration is oriental [and] Arabesque culture, materialised in a contemporary, luxurious way. It’s a mono-brand boutique featuring a unique style – totally different than what’s available in the market,” says Haber. One of Dubai’s most sought-after decorators, she curated the showroom’s collection herself. “The products showcased in the store are pieces that I tailored myself in terms of selection, colour combination and style.” She is clear that the location was of essence given her clientele. “d3 is the new hub for designers and creativity in different fields. It’s where art meets business, and this is what I love about it. It’s a vibrant and beautiful community with an amazing environment. The location itself is prime, very near to Downtown, and it’s becoming a landmark by itself. The support we get from d3 management is very encouraging, in terms of social media coverage, events and activations,” she continues. “Each piece has a special characteristic due to the sophisticated use of leather and the application of metallic finishes. Dubai customers will fall in love with our lamp shades and the selection of cushions, coffee tables and runners that can upgrade any living room,” she says.
