02 GUANGZHOU CENTRE OF ATTENTION
Due to be completed in the second quarter of 2020 is the eightstorey Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the 167,000-square metre project for Infinitus China will include a new global centre for research and development, a Chinese herbal medicine research and safety assessment centre, as well as a gallery and exhibition facilities. All departments are arranged around central atria and courtyards that encourage active interaction. The building’s insulated glazing system maximises natural light within the interior, while aluminium perforated screens provide protection from direct solar heat gain and enable the collection of rain water.
