02 STOCKHOLM STAGGERED FACADES

Nacka Port is a new carbon-positive project which is to be designed by Kjellander Sjöberg Architects, who won an invited competition with a proposal that will contribute to a “vibrant urban context with an inviting and varied programme.” A three-dimensional apartment block features a series of flexible and open squares, with residents and visitors able to enjoy markets and cafés. Staggered façades create both private and communal terraces, ideal for greenery that will contribute towards a healthy microclimate, while renewable materials will be used as part of the sustainable design strategy.
