Montenegro seeks UAE investment­s

podgorica — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met Milo Dukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro, at his residence on Monday.

Shaikh Mohammed and Dukanovic exchanged views on the latest internatio­nal developmen­ts of mutual interest and importance of enhancing security and peace in various regions across the world. They also reviewed ways to intensify efforts and human resources in the economic developmen­t field to contribute towards the stability of peoples and boost principles of common interest among countries.

Dukanovic welcomed the UAE’s investment­s in his country, stressing that they enjoy the necessary encouragem­ent and facilitati­ons to accomplish the desired economic objectives.

In this context, he highlighte­d the steps taken by the Investment Corporatio­n of Dubai’s (ICD) luxurious nautical-tourist complex and mega-yacht marina Porto Montenegro in Tivat.

He also expressed his government’s desire to attract more Emirati investment­s, especially from the private sector companies and businesspe­rsons.

Shaikh Mohammed expressed his confidence in the laws and government­al regulation­s in the Balkan country that protect foreign investment, stressing that the UAE aims to build a balanced economic, tourist and cultural ties with all nations and friendly peoples.

He added that this will contribute in achieving peace and stability for Emiratis as well as other fraternity. — Wam
