Sewa to open three new smart service centres
Sharjah — The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) will open three new service centres, as per the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sewa chariman Dr Rashid Al Leem said establishing the new service centres is part of the larger customer service development plan to ensure best services intended to take the standard of living in the emirate to international standards.
“This plan includes the development of current costumer services and establishing new ones in new areas, to cope with the current rapid infrastracuture development in the emirate,” Dr Leem told Khaleej Times.

first phase. The new centres will be equipped with advanced equipment and well-trained customer service staff.
The second phase covers the development of six more centres in various parts of Sharjah city, such as Al Jazzat, that serves residents of 17 areas; one located in industrial areas that serve 21 areas; and in Helwan, Al Majaz and Al Qasimiya, serving six areas.
The Helwan centre will also be upgraded to 24 hours, seven days a week. Dr Al Leem noted that Sewa is now using smart technology, its website and the SMS system to send bills and enable payments online, bank and post office by customers.
