Iran frees jailed Texas student

Iranian authorities have released a man jailed while home from his graduate studies in Texas after nearly five years, state media reported on Tuesday.

The report quoted lawyer for Omid Kokabee as saying the country’s judiciary will allow Kokabee to enjoy “conditional freedom”. —
