7 IS THE LUCKY NUMBER
Seven is the lucky number. Brace yourselves ladies and gentlemen: Apple has announced that September 7 will be the launch date of its newest gadgets, the iPhone 7 and 7+. The new phones are expected to indulge the senses of enthusiasts with a host of upgrades on the previous editions, starting with the camera and the introduction of the space black color.
Rumor has it that the iPhone 7 will have a 12 Mega Pixel camera with improved sensors and image stabilization, which means improvement in capturing low light photos. For those of you familiar with the technicalities, the upgrade is the use of f/1.9 aperture camera as oppossed to f/2.2 aperture camera used in the earlier models. which puts it on par with its greatest competitor, the Galaxy S7. The upgrades don’t just end there. The batteries of both the 7 and 7+ were bumped up to 1960mAh and 2910mAh respectively allowing for more juice and usage time for its users. Oddly, the iPhone 7 is listed as having IPX7 water resistance (allowing it to be submerged one meter deep for up to 30 minutes), but the iPhone 7+ isn’t, although it was stated that the water resistance feature was originally forit. There is a mention of wireless Apple Air pod headphones like the Bragi Dash as the new models have no headphone jacks, but it is not yet clear if they are included with the phone or are to be purchased separately.
Finally, Apple is expected to produce 10 million units less of the iPhone 7, so prepare yourselves for a bidding war after September 7.
WANT TO KNOW WHERE TO GET THE IPHONE 7? Probably the apple store
Apple however is playing things very close to their chest. Speculation and rumours in the tech circles suggest the new phone could cost anywhere between Dh5,000 to Dh7,000.
