Man slashes two girls with blades

A 27-year-old youth was arrested on Monday for allegedly slashing two young women with blades within four days, police said. Shibu Biswas, a resident of Baranagar, attacked a girl close to her residence on Thursday night. With two such incidents taking place in the area, police began a manhunt and arrested Biswas from his residence.—
