Arabic learning to be made fun with innovative touch

dubai — Bringing together Arabic language teachers and educators from across Dubai’s private schools, new ideas and innovation­s in teaching Arabic were discussed at the latest edition of Living Arabic hosted on Saturday at the Nord Anglia Internatio­nal School Dubai in Al Barsha under the theme of ‘reading’.

An ‘Action Research’ initiative led by five pioneering schools was announced at the event. Allowing teachers to explore and identify evidence-based practices aimed at improving Arabic language teaching, the idea works towards improving skills of learners.

As part of the initiative, Arabic language teachers at participat­ing schools will collect data to plan better and find innovative classroom practices, which can impact academic achievemen­t and language learning skills of students.

During the event, several workshops hosted by teachers provided innovative ideas and discussion­s on positive education and its role in teaching Arabic.
