Only finishing touches remain on Dubai Frame project

dubai — About 85 per cent of the iconic Dubai Frame has been completed, the chief of Dubai Municipali­ty (DM) was told as he visited the site on Wednesday.

completion, it will become an iconic symbol added to Dubai landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and other iconic buildings,” he said.

Located in Zabeel Park, Dubai Frame is set to become a distinctiv­e landmark as it highlights the beautiful image of the city, he added.

“It is an aesthetic icon and an architectu­ral landmark that is expected to culturally connect the past with the present, and to ultimately become a tourist attraction for the large number of visitors and residents.”

The municipali­ty is preparing for the installati­on of both its vertical frames and the glass bridge (the horizontal leg), which is expected to offer visitors a unique feel as if they are walking at a high altitude, and give them a 360-degree view of Dubai and its sights.

The frame will also tell the story of the evolution of the city and display all informatio­n about her past and present using the latest technologi­cal means.
