The drive named “Against hunger” is receiving overwhelming appreciation and participation from the masses to help thousands of underprivileged people in the Arab world.

The ongoing campaign aims to create awareness in the region regarding the alarming situation of people suffering from hunger and poverty, Fatafeat Channel Director Darine El Khatib told Khaleej Times. “Fatafeat and be in have donated thousands of healthy meals among needy families in Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syrian refugees and set to reach other penurious areas.”

and poor families in Egypt and Lebanon, to share their messages and stories of grief with the world, she added.

“These stories will be shared through Fatafeat platforms and will help the world to better connect with the deprived people in the Arab world, and come forward and help.”

The campaign activities include a group of students and community members across the UAE and Qatar to end hunger in the world, she explained. “The Fatafeat team met with students across the region for educational sessions, to help them recognise the problems of hunger in their own community and encouraged them to take the pledge against food wastage.”

Hunger is increasing every year globally, with millions of people starving every day, El Khatib underlined. “This is why we are so determined to expand the reach of this wonderful initiative helping us in wiping out hunger.”

Numerous families were living a prosperous life before, but due to several circumstances they were left with no other option but to leave their homes and look for food, she pointed out.

“The current alarming situation must be known and addressed. We believe it is our responsibility to find a meaningful solution such as building awareness, inspiring volunteers, and donations, to show the support for these people.”
