Fog wreaks havoc again, 29 flights diverted to Fujairah
fujairah — Bad weather and fog disrupted the flight services in the country for a second consecutive day.
The Fujairah Police said via Instagram on Thursday that 29 flights were diverted to Fujairah International Airport from other airports in the country, and the facilities and services at the airport are equipped to meet the needs of travellers on those flights.
The Commander-in-chief of Fujairah Police Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, said all departments cooperated including the civil aviation authority, immigration and passports controllers, management of ports, airports, police, and the Fujairah transportation foundation have contributed in facilitating the procedures for the passengers. As many as 107 accidents took place in Dubai from 4am to 10am. The accidents occurred in various areas in Dubai; no injuries were reported. The command and control room of the Dubai Police has received a total of 1,164 calls until 12pm.
