UAE sends relief aid, which included foodstuff, blankets and other essential material, to Yemen’s Mukalla city on August 20. The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) distributed some 352 relief packages to disabled individuals. The aid was sponsored by two local rehabilitation societies in Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout. Geeta has thumbs-ups and smiles as she stands alongside India’s Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj. Mute and deaf, she strayed into Pakistan more than a decade ago. Today, thankfully, she is reunited with her family in Indore.

Residents came together to donate blood at a campaign for the injured soldiers in Yemen at the Blood Donation Centre, Latifah Hospital, Dubai, on September 5. As per the Dubai Health Authority, approximately 300 units of blood were collected at the centre’s headquarters in the hospital premises.
I am happy that after a long time today I will get money for food. For several months, I had been eating from a restaurant without paying them. For eight months, I knocked on several doors for help.
