the lovers and the spoilers

Hareem deeba — the (working) mother of all fans why i love it:

“I know it’s a fantasy, but it looks and feels so real that I get emotionally attached. Also, it has some of the strongest women characters you’ll ever find in a show.

my ‘standout moment (s)’:

“Ned Stark being beheaded in the first season is one unforgettable scene. Ned was a protagonist. Who would have thought that he’d be beheaded on the order of that snobbish little Joffrey Baratheon who, all of a sudden, ascended to the level of super villain after this scene? It was proof that this show is full of surprises.”

faheem rizvi — finance man by day, die-hard fan by night how i watch it:

“It has to be after work, before I sleep. But binge-watching depends on how many episodes I’ve missed. Tyrion Lannister is my favourite character. He is the most intelligent, just and pragmatic character in the whole GoT universe.”

why is GoT different from other shows?

“It combines fantasy with politics, has a complex story and cast of characters, and is full of suspense. It looks researched, the sets look expensive, and it’s got dragons!”

anza saqib — the deep thinker why such a buzz:

“This show has forced a generation focused on slapstick humour to think and take an interest in the politics of power. Besides, there is some eye candy too, like Jason Momoa. He looks almost edible as Khal Drogo.”

my ‘standout moment (s)’:

The war from Season 6. Jon Snow finally stands out as the leader. Daneyers walking out unharmed from the fire with the three baby dragon eggs made me see the growth of Khaleesi’s character. The speech Tyrion Lannister makes before there is a trial by combat where he claims that his only crime is that he is a dwarf.
