khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan Foundation

The vision of the Foundation, establishe­d by Law No. 20 in July 2007, issued by The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is “Pioneering Initiative­s for Welfare” and its strategies are focused on health and education on domestic, regional and global scales. The foundation also supports educationa­l projects in the region, health needs, child protection, and the provision of safe water on a global level.

Since its establishm­ent in 2003 by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, IHC has grown to become the world’s largest and busiest logistics hub for humanitari­an aid with nine UN agencies and nearly 50 NGOs and commercial entities within its member pool. IHC is the world’s only free-zone designated to humanitari­an response, enabling fast delivery of aid to crisis and conflict areas.

ERC is a volunteer humanitari­an organisati­on that supports official authoritie­s in times of peace and war. Founded on January 1983, ERC was internatio­nally attested as a member of the Internatio­nal Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in 1986.
