Dewa’s Dh2m endowment to support mass weddings
dubai — The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Women’s Association to support the global vision of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy, MBRGCEC, for Awqaf and Endowments, which is the first organisation launched to support marriage endowment, and strengthen its work.
The MoU was signed under the patronage of Shaikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. According to the terms of the MoU, Dewa will provide an annual endowment of Dh2 million to Dubai Women’s Association, to support mass weddings.
