Happiness booth draws shoppers to Dubai mall
DUBAI — So what makes UAE residents happy? While some said they are happy living in the UAE due to the safety and security the country provides them, others commended the unity in the country’s population that comprises people of over 100 different nationalities.
A large number of people from diverse backgrounds presented their opinions and said how much they loved the UAE and how it is one of the safest, forward thinking and happy country to live in, at a ‘Happiness Video Booth’ set up the Oasis Centre recently.
In a show of solidarity with the UAE government’s Happiness Agenda, the Landmark Group recently set up the ‘Happiness Video Booth’ at its flagship shopping destination where it invited residents to share what makes them happy in UAE.
Shoppers recorded a ten second message at the booth, set up at the mall’s central atrium, sharing their happy moments and reasons for loving the UAE. Apart from the happiness booth, the group had also organized an art competition for children where they created art works depicting what they loved about Dubai.
The group was also selected as the exclusive retail partner of the Global Dialogue for Happiness day and the retail partner of the World Government Summit 2017.
“The Happiness Booth was set up to give UAE residents an opportunity to share what makes them happy about living in the country,” said Renuka Jagtiani, vice-chairperson of Landmark Group.
Jagtiani, who was the only speaker representing the private sector at recently concluded Global Dialogue on Happiness, said: “Landmark Group has been chosen as the exclusive retail partner for the Global Happiness Dialogue because we believe and support the UAE Government Happiness Charter.”
Articulating Landmark Group’s outlook on happiness from the viewpoint of the retail sector, Jagtiani also elaborated on the group’s happiness movement which aims at working collaboratively to build happier communities. “For us giving back to society and making a positive impact is very important,” she said.
