Creative Emiratis needed for SBA
sharjah — The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is aiming to hire more than 30 talented Emiratis in its different departments.
A shortlist of candidates will be selected from among hundreds of young Emiratis who visited the SBA’s stand at the recent National Career Exhibition 2017.

organisation which focussed on creativity in research, publishing, libraries and translation.”
The SBA looks for qualified and skilled Emirati graduates who could make the greatest contribution to achieving the authority’s vision of encouraging investment in creative industries. This includes providing a platform for exchanging experiences, knowledge and intellectual heritage from different civilisations and cultures around the world.
The book authority oversees a number of leading cultural projects and initiatives in the country namely Sharjah Publishing City, Sharjah Public Libraries, Sharjah International Book Fair, Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, Sharjah Exhibition for Children’s Book Illustrations and the SIBF Translation Grant.
It also organises the professional programme for publishers, which is the first free training programme for Arab publishers, and the annual joint conference with the American Library Association.
