371 outstanding AMAF students honoured
dubai — The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) hosted a ceremony to honour 371 outstanding students under its care. During the ceremony, the students took an oath to continue their journey of excellence in their academic and upcoming professional life to serve their nation and contribute to its development.
Top officials, including Dr Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; and Ahmed Abdul Karim Mohammed Julfar, Director-General of the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA), attended the event.
Tayeb Al Rais, Secretary-General of AMAF, said: “As our wise leadership has repeatedly emphasised, education is a vital pillar of development. The founding father of the UAE established schools and universities so that citizens of this country could obtain the necessary knowledge to contribute to its success.”
Speaking on the AMAF’s role in educating minors, Al Rais said: “As part of our mandate to empower the children under our care until they graduate from university, the AMAF spares no effort in providing a stimulating environment and all the necessary tools to enable them to make the most of their education. Our initiative honouring outstanding students aligns with the UAE’s relentless drive towards excellence in education.”
Through rewarding academic achievements, the foundation expressed its appreciation for the vital role schools play in the country’s progress and in educating generations.
