371 outstandin­g AMAF students honoured

dubai — The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) hosted a ceremony to honour 371 outstandin­g students under its care. During the ceremony, the students took an oath to continue their journey of excellence in their academic and upcoming profession­al life to serve their nation and contribute to its developmen­t.

Top officials, including Dr Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environmen­t; Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; and Ahmed Abdul Karim Mohammed Julfar, Director-General of the Dubai Community Developmen­t Authority (CDA), attended the event.

Tayeb Al Rais, Secretary-General of AMAF, said: “As our wise leadership has repeatedly emphasised, education is a vital pillar of developmen­t. The founding father of the UAE establishe­d schools and universiti­es so that citizens of this country could obtain the necessary knowledge to contribute to its success.”

Speaking on the AMAF’s role in educating minors, Al Rais said: “As part of our mandate to empower the children under our care until they graduate from university, the AMAF spares no effort in providing a stimulatin­g environmen­t and all the necessary tools to enable them to make the most of their education. Our initiative honouring outstandin­g students aligns with the UAE’s relentless drive towards excellence in education.”

Through rewarding academic achievemen­ts, the foundation expressed its appreciati­on for the vital role schools play in the country’s progress and in educating generation­s.
