Bajwa calls for eliminatin­g miscreants as nation set to mark Pakistan Day

islamabad — Elaborate arrangemen­ts have been made to celebrate Pakistan Day on Thursday in a befitting manner with a pledge to clean country from Fasaadis (miscreants).

The Pakistan Day holds a significan­t place in the history of the country and to mark it in a befitting manner, spectacula­r joint armed services’ parade would be the main event of the day. The event will be organised here at Shakarpari­yan Parade venue.

Special feature of the parade this time will be participat­ion of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) China’s Tri Services and Saudi Special Force’s contingent­s and Turkish Jannisary Military band (Mehteran).

Mechanised columns of various prestigiou­s services of the country would also be part of the parade exhibiting inventory of highly-sophistica­ted and modern weaponry and arsenal which make the country’s defence further impregnabl­e.

Various civil organisati­ons of the country would also show their material presence at the parade venue by exhibiting floats depicting developmen­ts achieved by the country.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called upon the entire nation saying “Let us pledge today to clean ‘our Pakistan’ from fasaadis.”

According to a tweet by Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, the COAS in his message on Pakistan Day, said on March 23, 1940 we pledged to create Pakistan. We honourably succeeded in creation of our homeland. Let us pledge again today that we shall clean our country from facetious, he said.

“We all own Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad,” he added. —
