Free WiFi rolled out at 2 RAK malls

ras al khaimah — Residents of Ras Al Khaimah can reap the benefits of WiFi UAE as it rolls out at Al Naeem Mall and Al Naeem City Center. From this month, mall visitors can have access to the Internet through two options: WiFi UAE and WiFi UAE Premium, a paid service that allows users unrestrict­ed upload and download speed.

All visitors to Al Naeem Mall and Al Naeem City Center will need to do to avail the free public WiFi is log on to the service using any UAE mobile number and choose between the two options for instant access to high speed Internet to browse, chat, and stream videos.

Speaking of the success of the rollout, Jihad Tayara, vice-president, business developmen­t and partnershi­ps, du, said: “We are pleased to spread happiness through innovation and connectivi­ty throughout the UAE by rolling out free WiFi access for all — regardless of their mobile service provider. Today’s rollout marks an important step in our quest to support the UAE government in achieving country-wide WiFi access in line with Vision 2021.”

Mohammed Al Naeem, managing director, Al Naeem Mall and Al Naeem City Center, added: “We are always looking at how we can improve and enhance the shopping experience for our customers. By partnering with WiFi UAE to provide WiFi to all of our patrons, we believe visitors to Al Naeem Mall and Al Naeem City Center will reap great value from this associatio­n.”

WiFi UAE has seen users throughout the UAE take advantage of its public WiFi offering, as the service celebrated a milestone 1.3 million sessions in October.

WiFi UAE expects to enable WiFi connectivi­ty through more than 450 locations by the end of the year. du has introduced WiFi UAE in a number of areas including RTAservice­d areas such as the Dubai Metro and Tram, malls, Emaar Boulevard Downtown Dubai and Global Village, among others.
