Achievements summit to take forward Dubai’s drive for excellence
dubai — In line with the leadership’s UAE Centennial 2071 initiative, a Dubai conference will host brainstorming sessions to help prosper future generations.
Back in its 5th edition, the Dubai International Achievements Exhibition will host governments from around the world to exchange expertise and knowledge of various sectors, helping Dubai transform into a global destination.
To be held on April 2-4, the exhibition will see a Brainstorming Program, an interactive platform that brings together senior officials to discuss the most important axes aimed at promoting the achievement of the government’s strategic plans.
Earlier, Dubai leadership announced UAE Centennial 2071’, a long-term government plan that dissects the country’s future, setting generations up for success and prosperity.
With 80 exhibitors from 20 countries, Dr. Ahmed Al Nuseirat, Coordinator General, Dubai Government Excellence Program — the event’ organiser — said the event has grown to 82 exhibitors this year, compared to 66 last year.
The exhibition, with expected 17,000 visitors this year, will also see the launch of new joint initiatives and agreements, set to achieve desired objectives of the state. “We hope to learn best practices and convey benefits to other governments to chieve happiness for our people. The role of governments is no longer limited to providing services but also to creating a positive and happy environment,” said Nuseirat.
Knowledge, innovation
The exhibition will see participation of local academic participations from five universities to link academic research in the fields of government administration.
A ‘Knowledge Wing,’ will bring together scientific and academic institutions and scientific research centers to adopt innovative methodologies that lead to the best outcomes of the education process. It will include education categories (universities and institutions), knowledge centers, scientific research centers, and smart libraries.
Al Nuseirat added that for the first time, other GCC countries will join the event including seven government bodies from Kuwait, four parties of Bahrain and two destinations from Saudi Arabia. He noted that participating government bodies from Dubai reached 30, while five entities will join from Ras Al Khaimah and seven destinations from the federal authorities.
The ‘Innovation Suite’ will include several categories of technology providers, incubators and innovation groups, experts and innovators, ICT companies, educational technology and research support companies.
The ‘Excellence Suite,’ will include a variety of excellence programmes, bringing together ideas, experiences and best practices while exploring the new challenges.
Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council, said the annual exhibition has helped improve achievements in the government field over the past years.
