The efficiency and success of the UAE government is measured by its achievements and ability to secure its goals on time, according to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed’s comments came during a government function in which he evaluated the progress made by the 36 executive teams formed by the government in October to implement the country’s National Agenda.

The teams are charged with working with 52 national indices over the course of the next four years, with the ultimate aim of reaching perfect scores and within six vital sectors; healthcare, education, economy, environment and infrastructure, society, security and the judiciary. Each executive team showcased their achievements in two-part presentations, which ran the entire gamut of their projects.

In Sheikh Mohammed’s presence, ministers signed a charter in which they pledged to do all that they can to support the executive teams and monitor their results which, he noted, embodies the ministers’ commitment to achieving the results of the national indices in line with UAE Vision 2021.

“We directed to form teams from various government departments. These teams were instructed — along with all decision makers in the UAE — to intensify efforts in the upcoming period to achieve 100 per cent of the National Agenda’s stated objectives by 2021,” he said.

“We met today, six months since the inception of the teams, to examine their results and projects, and to evaluate their progress.”

“We reviewed the results of the teams’ work and their plans and projects as well as their challenges in the short run,” he added.
