Ajman Ruler opens second edition of Orphans Festival
ajman — The second edition of Ajman Orphans Festival was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, at the Ajman Youth Centre. Emiratis providing assistance to the underprivileged, both within and outside the country, remain the best role models in the field of charitable work, said Sheikh Humaid during the opening ceremony of the event.
He praised the role played by philanthropic organisations, associations, entities and businesspersons in supporting charitable work, especially by supporting orphans and helping them communicate and interact in society. This support has contributed towards engaging orphans as effective members of society, who are part of the homeland and its prudent leadership, he added.
The Ajman Ruler also commended the wise leadership’s support for orphans through its establishment of popular institutions that patronise and provide them with services they need.

The teachings of Islam urge people to support and provide a dignified life, and psychological and social stability to orphans, he noted. The Ajman Ruler also received a gift in recognition of his support for charitable organisations, and his keenness to support charitable works in society, especially those for orphans.
