dubai — The National Happiness and Positivity Programme launched the “Friends of Happiness” platform, an electronic portal that seeks to encourage public involvement in the programme’s initiatives, and to rally support for the government’s efforts to promote happiness and positivity.

“The initiative seeks to spread awareness about the importance of happiness and positivity, as well as to establish partnerships between the government and the community — individuals and organisations — that endorse happiness as a practice in all sectors, and support the government’s projects during the Year of Giving,” said Othman Al Madani, Director of Happiness at the National Happiness and Positivity Programme, said:

The portal is an electronic system accessible to the general public, Al Madani explained. It urges them to participate in the initiatives of happiness and positivity. The platform allows individuals and companies to register and select specific tasks they wish to undertake in support of these initiatives. This facilitates the establishment of a central database for our partners – present and future – to use. The National Happiness and Positivity Programme called on potential participants to register using the following link: https://happy.ae/Friendsofhappiness/

The registration process consists of filling one of two applications — one for individuals and the other for organisations — with basic information, namely, their name, contact address, and areas of desired cooperation, among others.

Once the registration process is completed, applications are sorted by type, area of cooperation, and compatibility with the criteria of the National Happiness and Positivity Programme. Building on this process, contact is established with partners to enlist their cooperation in initiatives, events, and activities that best suit their submitted applications.
