Srinivasan stars in Farooq’s victories

dubai — Nikhil Srinivasan was the toast of Farooq’s back-to-back wins in the Dubai Cricket Council’s Weekend Slammer.

In the first match he claimed two wickets as Farooq reduced The Warriors to 143 for 7. Nikhil later struck an aggressive unbeaten 64 which contained five sixes and an equal number of fours to guide his team to an eight-wicket victory in 14.1 overs in this 25over tournament being played at the ICCA Dubai Sports City Grounds.

Nikhil was well supported by Tahir Ali who helped himself to an unbeaten 45 from 26 balls with three sixes and four fours.

In the other match, Nikhil was again in the spotlight with the ball scalping four wickets for 16 runs as Friends, chasing 178 to win set by Farooq, fell short by 20 runs.
