UBL clinch ADCC Cup

abu dhabi — Syed Maqsood’s unbeaten 100 from just 46 balls helped United Bank Limited thump Lions CC by 10 wickets and clinch the ADCC Cup.

Lions won the toss and made 140 for loss of nine wickets at the Nursery Oval-1 wicket. Opener Chathura Deshapriya and Mohamed Fazil were top contributors with 32 each.

Usman Saeed was the pick of UBL bowlers with four wickets for 29 from his four overs. Zaheer Maqsood and Aqeel Anwar grabbed two wickets each.

In reply, openers Syed Maqsood and Amjad Ali had a blazing start and knocked off the winning runs in 11.3 overs. Maqsood hit 10 boundaries and eight sixes. Captain Ali’s 23-ball 38 runs contained three fours and a six.
