Good vibes on the menu at this Happiness Cafe
abu dhabi — The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has recently opened a Happiness Café at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, giving a chance for its employees to relax and unwind during their working hours.
It’s not just comfy couches and sofas, the Happiness Café also includes reading, musical and cultural stations, in addition to various entertainment games that would help revitalise and rejuvenate employees during working hours.
It also has an outdoor green area and a fountain to create an atmosphere of positivity and happiness.
The café was recently inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, in the presence of Afraa Al Sabri, Undersecretary at the Ministry, the Customer Happiness Team, the Innovation Team and employees of the ministry.
Sheikh Al Nahyan said the café reflects “the aim of turning one’s workplace into a positive environment, allowing employees to rel-ease their productive energy and efforts, thus undoubtedly developing and refining the work environment. This will in turn be reflected on the level of employee satisfaction, which will consequently impact the levels of production.”
The ministry is always keen on launching a number of programmes and initiatives to encourage and motivate employees’ positive competition and occupational excellence, he added.
Sheikh Al Nahyan also underlined the result of the World Happiness Report 2016, in which the UAE is ranked as the happiest country in the Arab region and the 28th happiest country in the world.
