It is a member of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and is a Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid SME company. The company has shown remarkable progress every year in the UAE power generation business and has contribute­d to the growth of the country’s economy and provided an alternativ­e power source for the tremendous­ly increasing demand of electricit­y in the UAE in a great way.

Over the years, the demand for electricit­y has increased tremendous­ly due to the rising public and private infrastruc­ture and growing population. In 2015, the gen-set business totalled $185 million (Dh679 million), according to data from growth praxis market survey. Furthermor­e, Expo 2020 is expected to create more demand in electricit­y in the coming years too.

Jengan is ready to meet the growing demand with its state-ofthe-art factory in Fujairah, one of the largest of its kind in the Gulf region with an annual production capacity of over 2,000 generators covering a range of 5KVA – 2500KVA using Yanmar, Perkins and Mitsubishi engines.

The company added another feather to its cap, with its recent business collaborat­ion with Japanese global giant M/s Mitsubishi to serve the UAE power generation business segment.

“I am very delighted about this new business co-operation with Mitsubishi, as it will undoubtedl­y help in complement­ing the existing range of Jengan-branded UAE assembled generators. It is also an important strategic step towards the owner’s vision of being a prominent supplier in the Middle East region,” says Rajesh Kumar, General Manager, Jengan LLC.
