Special children celebrate Hag Al Laila
dubi — To mark the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, the students of the Rashid Centre for the Disabled organised a ceremony celebrating the occasion of Hag Al Laila. Present on the occasion were Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum; Mariam Othman, executive director of the centre; a number of officials and teachers of the centre.
The celebration, which was held on the premises of the centre, was aimed at bringing happiness to the hearts of students, deepening their religious awareness, and emphasising their right to participate in religious and national celebrations and events. It was one of the ways that aimed at realising the real meaning of the process of integration between these special needs children and their normal peers.
During the ceremony, the students distributed gifts to the guests and school children from other schools, coupled with beautiful dance performances by the Rashid Stars group.

It also plays a role in enhancing the self-confidence of the disabled person, because this celebration is one of the most popular customs. In the country and the Gulf region, and will contribute to bringing happiness to the hearts of children.”
The age-old tradition of Hag Al Laila sees children take to the streets, walking around in their neighborhood wearing traditional attire, knocking on doors and collecting sweets.
