dubai — Offering the perfect snack option, Fantastic Rice crackers can be had anytime, anywhere.

The brand is known for its delicious rice crackers that are available in 10 crunchy flavours. They also have an extended range of Fantastic bowl and cup noodles. To create interest about its product offerings, Choithrams supermarkets and other select retail stores ran a month long thematic promotion to generate buzz in the market about the food items.

Praveen Dham, marketing manager, T. Choithram & Sons LLC, said: “We took a 360-degree approach for the Fantastic Scratchand-Win Promotion. Customers received a coupon on just a spend of Dh20. There was also a two-plusone offer on both rice crackers and cup noodles, and hence this was a double promotion.”

Winners of the Scratch-and Win offers had the chance to receive either 75 VOX movie vouchers, 40 Dreamland Aquapark passes, 200 Fantastic Bowl Noodles, or 150 Fantastic Delite Curls. The grand prize was that of a weekend couple getaway to Armenia, which was won by a Filipino couple. “Along with this, we also ran a radio campaign where listeners participated in competitions with RJ’s from Tag FM 91.1,” he added.

The promotion ran across 15 different supermarkets such as Geant Ibn Battuta, LuLu Barsha, Choithrams in the Greens, among a few others.

Aabhas Goplani, a representative of Marketing — Commerce from T. Choithram & Sons, highlighted: “As part of the radio campaign, listeners could send an SMS during the drive time show to win the Fantastic gift hamper worth Dh500, which included a gift basket that had Dh300 worth goodies from Fantastic and Dh200 worth vouchers from Choithrams. It ran for a month and we picked 25 winners.”

Furthermore, certain outlets had a gondola where the items were displayed. “We hired promoters to get additional visibility, distributed leaflets to create awareness and also had product sampling activities. The response to the campaign was overwhelming and the sales have doubled,” Goplani added.
