First of its kind mobile court launched in Ras Al Khaimah

ras al khaimah — Judicial services have reached the door steps of residents here, especially those in remote areas.

In a bid to improve its services, the RAK Courts has launched the first of its kind mobile court for the benefit of Emirati citizens and residents alike.

The innovative move has been directed and launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.

specific stops at schools and medical centres.

The court, besides the fast-track one-day trials, shall be concerned with the evidence, attestatio­n, power of attorney, registrati­on and enforcemen­t sections, he added.

The integrated bus also includes offices for handling customers’ requests. The bus is equipped with surveillan­ce cameras and satellite-connected tracking devices, along with a pantry for hospitalit­y services .

“All these services are based on smart electronic services, including live audiovisua­l communicat­ion that connects the bus staffers with the RAK courts headquarte­rs downtown round the clock,” Al Khatiri said.

Late last April, the RAK Courts have launched the one-day court, also the first of its kind in the region, to settle cases in one day. This fast-track court has processed 100 per cent of the lawsuits referred to it from January to March this year.
