Key bridge on Al Khail Road 90% complete

dubai — Work on a bridge linking Al Khail Road and the Financial Centre Road has exceeded 90 per cent, a top Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official said.

During his visit to the project site, Mattar Al Tayer, directorge­neral and chairman of the board of executive directors of RTA, said the Dh177 million project is expected to be completed by year-end.

The bridge consisting of two lanes in one direction crosses over the Dubai Water Canal.

Al Tayer was briefed on the project, which starts from the intersecti­on of Ras Al Khor Road and Al Khail Road with the aim of easing the traffic movement.

The existing road will be widened by adding two lanes to ensure a smooth traffic flow from the intersecti­on of the Dubai-Al Ain Road at Al Khail Road and along the upper deck of the Financial Centre Road. An entry point will also be provided to the parking terminal of the Dubai Mall expansion project.
