How was your experience at summer camp?

Amorita George The Millennium School Dubai

“As an only child, summer camp was a God-send for both my parents and me. For them it meant that I wouldn’t be left at home alone, and for me it meant having an actual vacation, as opposed to staring at a screen. Over the years, I’ve done everything from dance and music camps to drama camps to sports camps. Summer camps have been an opportunity for me to develop new skills.”

“Yes, I have been to summer camp. Summer camp is an incredible opportunity to enhance our skills. As we are busy in studies, we cannot spend enough time on extracurricular activities. Last year at summer camp I learnt many strokes in swimming. It gave me physical and mental strength. I also made many friends. I loved the experience.”

Jessica Sajil The Millennium School Dubai

“The word ‘summer camp’ brings a smile to my face because of the sweet memories I have as a child. I attended my first summer camp when I was about nine. I still remember the night before the big day, contemplating about what an amazing time and experience I was going to have. And I was not wrong. I had so much fun; I met new people, made new friends and learnt new skills, including arts and crafts, robotics, and jewellery making.”

Akhil Rahman Ashraf Abu Dhabi Indian School Abu Dhabi

“Summer camps are amazing. I used to go to ISC Summer Camp every year where they taught us leadership qualities and much more. All of us were divided into four teams led by a captain and vice-captain. There were different sessions each day based on different topics, which enables us to apply in real life situations. We had different kinds of sports like cricket, football, badminton and swimming.”
