Child stuck in borewell dies

Rescuers on Tuesday pulled out the body of a five-yearold boy, who accidentally fell into an over 300-feet deep borewell at a village in western Maharashtra’s Satara district. As soon as the team of rescue workers managed to retrieve the child from the borewell in the early hours on Tuesday, they rushed him to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead. —
