Fill this summer with culture and arts

dubai — The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced the launch of its ‘Our Summer is filled with Culture and Arts’ programme at the Dubai Public Library. The activities will be held across five Dubai Public Library branches from July 16 to August 10.

Dubai Public Library branches are offering a range of activities for children, which have been designed to develop their skills and help them benefit during the summer break.

These activities aim to promote learning through a fun way, by engaging children and integratin­g them into tasks that aim at providing them with communicat­ion skills, positive thinking and collaborat­ive work as well as developing their creativity and innovation skills.

The programme is divided into two periods where Al Rashidiya library, Hatta library and Mankhool library will host the first programme from July 16 to 27, and the second will be held for two weeks from July 29 to August 10 at the Al Twar Library and Umm Suqeim Library. All activities will be held in the evenings from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

Commenting on the launch of the programme, Dr Hissa bin Masoud, director of Dubai Public Library at Dubai Culture, said: “In this year’s edition, we launched a programme which aims to enhance children’s skills through fun activities, while they can benefit from their free time by learning new skills.” — Wam
