Luxury stay and drop for woman who missed flight

sharjah — In a humanitarian gesture, the Sharjah Community Police have come to the rescue of a woman who missed her flight at Sharjah International Airport recently.

The Russian woman, who was not carrying enough money, got the shock of her life when she came to know that her flight had already departed.

Disclosing the details, Major Ahmad Al Sabousi, head of the community police department, said that a cop on duty at the airport noticed the visibly shaken woman at the exit of the airport.

He approached her and asked about her problem. She told him that she arrived at the airport late and had no money to spend a night at a hotel or even to have food until her departure the next day.

The community police met her immediately and provided her a room in a luxury hotel and arranged a special car to transport her to the airport the following day.
