Fifteen skeletal remains of girls and children are found in a drain behind a house in Nithari, Noida. Two suspects — owner of the house Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Surinder Koli arrested. January 05, 2007 | Accused Pandher and Koli are taken to Gandhinaga­r for extensive narco-analysis Test by Uttar Pradesh police. January 10 | The Cental Bureau of Investigat­ion takes over the probe in the case. February 8 | Special CBI court sends Pandher and Koli to 14 days of CBI custody. February 12, 2009 | Pandher and Koli are found guilty of the February 8, 2005 murder of one of the victims Rimpa Haldar. February 13, 2009 | Both Pandher and Koli are sentenced to death for the rape and murder of Haldar, as the case is classified as “rarest of rare”. The Allahabad High Court acquits Pandher of the crime, but confirms Koli’s death sentence. January 7, 2010 | The Supreme Court stays the death sentence of Koli. September 3, 2014 | The Allahabad High Court issues death warrant against Koli in Nithari case. October 28, 2014 | The Supreme Court rejects the plea of Kohli urging to reconsider his death sentence in Rimpa Haldar murder case. July 22, 2017 | A CBI court holds Pandher and Koli guilty of rape, murder, abduction and criminal conspiracy in a case relating to the killing of Pinki Sarkar . On October 5, 2006, the girl was returning home from work. She took the road outside Pandher’s residence. Koli lured her inside where she was killed and beheaded. July 24 | Pandher and Koli sentenced to death by the CBI court.
