Dubai Police council to reduce crime rates
dubai — A council for police stations will be formed to unify efforts of all police centres and develop safety and security procedures, Dubai Police officials said on Wednesday.
Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-inChief of the Dubai Police, set up the council that will coordinate with different partners and entities to endorse the role of the police centres in ensuring security and safety across the emirate.
Al Marri said the council will play an important role in enhancing communication between police stations and developing security plans to reduce crime. The plan is expected to reduce crime rates and traffic casualties.
The council will also enhance communication between specialised departments and prioritise them accordingly. The board will hold a meeting every month. The decision came during a meeting held at Al Muraqqabat police station. Al Marri urged officials to double their efforts to achieve the strategic goals of the Dubai Police and provide services that meet the aspirations of residents.
