PML-N leader for probe into Gulalai’s charges PML-N leader denies giving any money
islamabad — Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Ameer Muqam has demanded a thorough investigation into allegations levelled by National Assembly member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, against Imran Khan.
Speaking to mediamen here on Thursday, he said, “I declare on oath that I only talked to Gulalai for a minute over the phone and the line was dropped due to weak signals in Shangla. I never met her before or after she levelled allegations against Imran.”
“I only talked to her for a minute and told her that she has shown courage by exposing Imran,” said Muqam. He denied giving Rs500 million to Gulalai.
He said, “I did not give any money to her. I don’t believe in hatching conspiracies and believe in the public politics.”
The PML-N leader said people of Pakistan loved Nawaz Sharif and even came to listen to him when he inaugurated Lowari Tunnel at a height of 9,000 feet.
He said Imran was doing politics of duplicity and was spreading lies for a very long time.
Everybody knew about immoral activities of Imran, who lost a paternity suit about illegitimacy of her daughter in a court of California.
He alleged that Imran violated the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan by not fasting and eating openly in Nathiagali.
He said everybody knew that corruption was rampant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said, even ministers > Muqam denies giving Rs500 million to Gulalai. > He says, “I declare on oath that I only talked to Gulalai for a minute over the phone and the line was dropped due to weak signals in Shangla.” and members of provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were levelling allegations of corruption against Pervaiz Khattak.
Meanwhile, a petition was on Wednesday filed with the Election Commission of Pakistan to disqualify Imran Khan. The 64-year-old cricketer-turned-politician faced heavy criticism and pressure to quit after PTI lawmaker Ayesha Gulalai in a televised Press conference on Tuesday said he has been sending “inappropriate and explicit messages” to her and other women workers of the party.
Raja Basharat, a lawyer, filed the petition seeking Khan’s disqualification for the “shameful” allegations of harassment by Gulalai.
