Du LaLiga HPC teams to take on Sevilla, Malaga

dubai — The du LaLiga High Performanc­e Centre (du LaLiga HPC) U-16 and U-18 teams arrived in Spain for a 21-day intensive training camp and competitiv­e matches against some of LaLiga’s top youth club teams including Sevilla FC and Malaga FC.

The 36 travelling athletes represent the nation’s top players from the U-18 and U-16 categories who were selected from across the UAE through the

duFC platform to join the du LaLiga HPC, where they undergo a rigorous year-round training programme designed and executed to LaLiga standards by a team of highly qualified LaLiga coaches.

This annual trip to Spain represents a unique opportunit­y for the du LaLiga HPC talents to be discovered by scouts from LaLiga clubs during their

intensive training camp and matches, which may lead to invitation­s for trials and contract awards.

The young athletes, who hail from the four corners of the UAE, represent over 15 nationalit­ies including UAE, France, UK, Egypt, Jordan, Iran and

Morocco. Their mental and physical strengths will be put to the test at a new internatio­nal level and they look forward to learning new skills from

the world’s strongest league during their intensive training schedule.

The du LaLiga HPC players’ camp kicked off on August 3, 2017 with an intensive programme seeing the boys training two times a day and their first match against Cadiz is scheduled on August 5 followed by matches against Sevilla, Almeria, Granada with a grand finale against Malaga CF, scheduled on August 19. Throughout the 21-day period, coaches and scouts from LaLiga clubs will be invited to attend the training and matches to scout for talents from the

du LaLiga HPC teams who demonstrat­e great potential and recruit them to play in top clubs of LaLiga.
