Upcoming digital forum to see leading global experts
dubai — The Digital Transformation Forum has announced its first set of speakers scheduled to address the forum on October 25-26 in Dubai.
Presented by MIT Sloan Management Review GCC, this forum will see the likes of Sandeep Chouhan, EVP, operations, Mashreq; Alex Batlin, global head of emerging technology, BNY Mellon; Trevor Moore, chief digital officer, Richmond Fellowship; Adriana Knackfuss, vice-president - digital transformation, Coca-Cola; Zaheer Nooruddin, head of digital transformation, Shiseido; and Sebastian Samuel, chief information officer, AW Rostamani.
As leading companies embrace biometrics, artificial intelligence (AI), and other exciting digital technologies, senior business executives at many other companies feel pressured to do the same. But each organisation is different and so are the solutions it requires. DigiTrans will address these key issues and more.
Banking industry is rapidly embracing digital strategies. Speaking to the DigiTrans team and Khaleej Times about ‘Robotics in banking’, Sandeep Chouhan said: “Today, the banking industry is focusing on enabling the digital transformation to use accelerated adoption of intelligent automation. RPA is one of the revolutionising areas to drive outcomes around business process efficiency and instant fulfillment to the end customer.”
He added: “With RPA, a new class of digital workforce is taking over the conventional human workforce providing digital speed to market and cost takeouts. Across banking, there have been a lot of proof-of-concept activity, but deployment at scale is very limited. Successful banks of tomorrow will be the ones that embrace the next wave of robotics to drive business processes and outcomes. 2017 is a breakout year for Mashreq, and we already have 10 digital workers on board who perform 2.5 times the work an average human worker does.”
With the nation’s leading English Newspaper, Khaleej Times, supporting this forum, DigiTrans 2017 will also feature eminent speakers such as Kumar Prasoon, chief information officer, Al Safeer Group; Bruno Fonseca, chief information security officer, AXA Insurance; Dr Sayd Farook, advisor, the executive office of the Ruler of Dubai; and Fady Sleiman, chief information officer, Waha Capital.
